Perhaps one of the most stunning and sought-after varieties, rarely available in NZ, Solfatare is also the least vigorous, so please don't expect it to take off and form large clumps, because it is very well behaved. Gorgeous clumps of bronzed foliage topped with sprays of soft apricot-yellow flowers in summer make a striking contrast. Best grown in full sun with light shade from mid afternoon in hot areas, in moderately fertile soils with the occasional watering in very hot weather. Will become dormant by autumn in most areas. Hardy, but mulch for winter protection in very frosty areas. 1 litre pot, 3 flowering size corms per pot.
