A fabulous species particularly if you have a bank you can plant it on at eye level, as the luminous flower spikes look amazing as they arch outwards. Spikes of stunning upward-facing fiery orange flowers in mid-summer. I haven't found this species particularly vigorous, it seems to take a while to form a good clump. Flowering height 50-100cm depending on climate, aspect and soil. Prefers a spot with at least morning sun, some shade later in the afternoon is good too. 1 litre pot.
