A lovely plant which forms a (non-invasive) tuber under the ground, similar to a Dahlia but not as big. Clumps of slightly fuzzy green leaves, and spires of beautiful, large, lilac-blue flowers opening from darker buds. Flowering occurs at any time from early summer through to autumn and will repeat flower if dead-headed. Reasonably frost tender above ground but will re-shoot from the tuber in spring once the soil warms up. 60-70cm x 30cm. Full sun. 1 litre pot.
