A fabulous Japanese species that has proved to be very long-flowering in my garden, with the main flush of flowers in summer, but a succession of occasional flower stems appearing from spring until winter here. A short-lived hardy perennial forming clumps of narrow light green leaves and elegantly fine, upright flower stems bearing large, deliciously scented vibrant deep-pink single flowers with finely fringed edges to the petals. The pale centre adds a great contrast! These are plants grown from seed collected from the plant in the photograph so should be relatively true, but some variation should always be expected with seedlings. Flowering size 30-60cm high x 20-30cm wide. 9cm pot.
