This is a fantastic rarely-available species with dramatic deep violet-purple flowers that hang their heads beautifully. The backs of the petals have a covering of fine silver hairs which capture dew droplets and add to the overall appeal. These beauties were potted up from one-year old seedlings and have decided to flower! Best grown in a sunny spot with good drainage and will grow in a range of altitude habitats from near sea level to more alpine environments. Height in flower 20-30cm. They are tap-rooted so best to plant out in a permanent position and then leave undisturbed. 1 litre pot.
