Seed-grown plants from a non-verified source and these have not yet flowered so I cannot guarantee the colour. They came labelled as P. montana black form...so fingers crossed!
A general description...lovely finely divided foliage and dark to berry-coloured Anemone-like flowers in spring and summer followed by fabulous fluffy seedheads. The backs of the petals have a covering of fine silver hairs which capture dew droplets and add to the overall appeal. Best grown in a sunny spot with good drainage and will grow in a range of altitude habitats from near sea level to more alpine environments. Height in flower 20-30cm. They are tap-rooted so best to plant out in a permanent position and then leave undisturbed. 1 litre pot.
