One of the species most responsible for many of the dwarf poker hybrids available across the globe. These are seed-grown plants of the species so there could be the odd variation. Grassy clumps of foliage with hints of blue-green and stems carrying slender hot orange to coral red flowers in mid-late summer. Flowering height 50-60cm, clumps up over time but allow around 40-50cm. Does best in full sun and reasonably good soil, but will also grow well in a part day of shade although flowering may not be as impressive. 1 litre pot. (Image courtesy of Jelitto, thank you)
