Rarely available is this beautifully elegant species which forms airy mounds of dissected mid-green foliage, often present even in cooler weather as it is generally a little hardier than many other types of Dahlia. Throughout summer and right through until winter frosts the plants bear a succession of dainty single soft lavender-pink flowers on wiry, branching stems. The flowers are smaller, around 7-8cm, so hold up well in all sorts of weather. Flowering size when mature 80-120cm high and 50-80cm wide. These are seed-grown plants that have already formed smaller tubers and should show their first flowers this coming summer. 1 litre pot. (Images courtesy of Chiltern Seeds thank you).
