A hardy biennial or short-lived perennial accent plant which forms a clump of highly attractive large, furry, silvery-grey leaves. The leaves alone always draw comment, but I also really enjoy the masses of fairly large white flowers, which are held on upright, well-branched stems. Usually dies once it flowers and sets seed, but it will sometimes live longer if the flower stem is cut back straight after flowering. Drought tolerant and prefers a well-drained position in full sun. Plant where the soft leaves can be touched – everybody wants to do this! Flowering height 60-80cm, foliage clump around 40cm across. These are in 1 litre pots.
