(Milkweed). Long-lived hardy American wildflower perennials such as this seem to be making a comeback nowadays. Will slowly form a clump with upright stems clothed in narrow green leaves topped in late summer with clusters of vanillascented cherry-pink flowers with paler centres. A wonderful plant for the butterflies and the seedpods are also very attractive. Full sun, average to heavy soils and enjoys slightly damp conditions. Eventually grows to 100-120cm H x 70cm W. 12cm pot.
