A fantastic easy perennial that provides great colour as well as interesting structure from the whorled flower stems. At home in naturalistic plantings as well as more traditional gardens, try it paired with grasses, or daisies such as Rudbeckia, Echinacea and Aster for contrast. A frost hardy, winter dormant herbaceous perennial that forms clumps of broadly arrow-shaped leaves which feel soft to touch due to being covered in short hairs. Many upright flower stems carry masses of small violet blue flowers with purple calyces, grouped together in whorls up the stems, creating a haze of colour. Full sun, deadhead to encourage repeat flowering. 50-60cm high x 40cm wide. 9cm pot.
