Nepeta tuberosa - tall form
Seed sent to me as this species, but it is considerably more upright than my own form which I’ve grown for many years. Soft, furry grey leaves with serrated edges and tall, very lengthy spikes packed mauve flowers. A perennial from the Mediterranean, this Nepeta produces a tuber similar to a Dahlia in order to survive drought. I loved this planted with yellow Achillea last summer! Dormant in winter and during prolonged drought. Full sun. Flowering height 60-80cm x 30-40cm wide. 9cm pot.
