Eriocephalus africanus - African rosemary - 9cm pot
This is a wonderful easy-care, no-fuss evergreen shrubby perennial that will fill in gaps, keep the bees happy, look great all-year-round and is drought tolerant as well. Forms a rounded bushy mass of silvery-green leaves similar in size and shape to traditional rosemary but not quite as strongly aromatic. Masses of small white flowers appear over many months throughout winter and into spring and are followed by cute fluffy seedheads which look like balls of cottonwool. Highly recommended if you're looking for a drought-tolerant plant to fill in a sunny spot. I absolutely love this as a culinary herb as well. Can eventually get to around 1m x 1m but is easily pruned. For pruning I find you can either clip it like a hedge or just go through and trim every 2nd or 3rd stem back by two thirds to create an airier more naturally-styled shrub. 9cm pot.
