A tough and hardy perennial species which seems to perform well in any garden. Clumps of long dark green leaves topped with branched, upright spikes bearing clusters of white flowers in spring and summer, which the bees love. Stems can be green or deep red and the leaves occasionally have beetroot tones to the edges. Full sun or part shade. Semi-evergreen hardy perennial. Flowering height 70-120cm x 30-40cm wide at maturity.
