Nepeta nepetella ssp. aragonensis
I grew this rarely available form of lesser catmint for the first time last year and absolutely loved it. Native to the Mediterranean, rather than the dense clouds of flowers that many Nepeta varieties produce, this one is airy and elegant, with attractive silvery-grey leaves. Upright flower stems carry perfectly spaced whorls of flowers that are such a pale lavender they appear to be a creamy white, which adds to their charm. My plants from last year are coming away strongly again so I can attest to it being tough and hardy as it has thrived on neglect in a sunny well drained spot. Height in flower 40-60cm, spread 30-40cm wide. 9cm pot.
