Salvia apiana (white sage)
A slow growing shrubby perennial ideal for difficult soils, both well-drained sites and clay banks in full sun, as it is extremely drought tolerant once established. Beautiful, scented silvery grey foliage provides contrast in the garden. Stems of white and lavender flowers appear in summer, but it is the leaves that this sage is most commonly grown for. Eventual size 1m x 1m. Full sun and excellent drainage is essential. Do not water once established. 1 litre pot.
