Lysimachia lichiangensis - 1 litre pot
A very special offering of just a few rare plants I have grown from seed obtained from Growild Nursery in Scotland. This species comes from China, where it is native to the Sichuan and Yunnan provinces. So far it has lovely dark green leaves but will develop its signature silver markings as it matures, with spotted undersides to the leaves becoming obvious as the flower stems elongate. Elegant, dark upright stems bear pretty white flowers blushed with soft pink from mid-summer into autumn. A hardy perennial but probably short-lived so allow some seed to set each year. (Please note that if you google this species it will invariably come up as yellow - it is not! Prefers a cooler woodland situation with moisture-retentive soil. Height at flowering to around 60-70cm. 1 litre pot. (Image courtesy of Growild Nursery thank you).
