This is the true species of the small Spanish foxglove, which was just wonderful in my garden last summer. Low clumps of grey-green leaves which are quite small and narrow compared to larger varieties. Multiple stems appear in late spring or early summer carrying a succession of soft pink flowers, each one held aloft from the stem in a rather elegant way, as if it were showing off at its best angle. A great plant for a sunny spot near the front of a border with average soil, or in a rock garden or dry border where it won't get swamped by other plants. Drought hardy once established. Flowering height 50-60cm depending on position. 9cm pot.
