Gorgeous, frothy clumps of green leaves topped with a never-ending succession of pincushion flowers in warm summer berry colours - these plants came from seed saved of a dark berry-crimson form. Full sun to part shade and average soil. 60-70cm high at flowering, can spread to 40-50cm wide. I love this particular species (S. atropurpurea) as they are really prove themselves as long flowering in the garden and are ideal as cut flowers as they have long, very strong stems. Butterflies absolutely love them too. 9cm pot.
