Seaflowers Nursery has moved during the Covid-19 crisis period and is currently closed. Many thanks to everyone for their support during what has been a really rough year so far (I'm sure we can all agree on that). Apologies to those waiting for the online store to re-open, it is taking slightly longer than expected but rest assured it won't be too much longer. While waiting for the plants to grow in this wintry weather, the photo gallery has been updated with photos of all sorts of new treasures....you can take a virtual wander through my plant addiction by clicking here Photo Gallery
I love growing plants, and perennials and Salvias are so rewarding with so much variety on offer, that I have made these plants my main focus for my business. I offer plants all year round, with the majority ready for spring and autumn planting times. My perennials are all grown and sold in three different pot sizes - 9cm, 12cm and 1 litre grades. This keeps the plants at a manageable size for delivery to you. From my own experience it also means that the plants are at just the right size for putting in the garden - not so small that they get lost, and not so big that you have to dig a huge hole to put them in!
I also now offer punnets of "fillers", generally in spring time, with a few in autumn as well. These are annuals or short-lived perennials that are perfect for filling spaces quickly....varieties that are hard-to-find (or impossible) at garden centres. I use sturdy, re-useable 4-cell punnets. Because they are 4-cell, the plants have room to grow excellent root systems, meaning you are getting a quality product at a very good price.
My online store accepts credit card payments via Stripe or Paypal. I also sell plants via Trade Me using the seller name jury1.
Alternatively if you would like to order and pay via internet banking then please use the Contact Form to send me an email with your order and details, rather than using the shop. You are welcome to include a few alternatives, as some plants are in very short supply or sell out quickly. I can then reply with confirmation of your order and my bank details.
All orders are sent via courier (Fastway or Courierpost). I will only send plants on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Post office box numbers are not suitable for couriers to use, so please use a street or rural address. All rural deliveries have an extra charge – please note that many small towns are now considered a rural delivery.
Freight charges for sending one carton of plants are below. As a general guide, one carton will fit around 12x 1 litre pot size plants, or up to 16x 9cm pot size, or a combination of them is fine too. Punnets are quite large and take up the same space as 2x 1 litre pots.
