One of my favourite species, with very attractive green leaves veined and edged with burgundy, the stem leaves becoming paler in sunlight. Flower spikes bear numerous small branches, each carrying several elegant lavender coloured flowers that have bearded three-lobed lower lips splashed with white. Quite happy in full sun or part shade, prefers reasonably free-draining soils. Forms a bushy plant to 50cm high which repeat flowers from spring to autumn if kept dead-headed. 1 litre pot.
