One of my favourite species, with very attractive dark green leaves veined with
burgundy, the stem leaves becoming paler in sunlight. Flower spikes bear numerous small branches, each carrying several elegant lavender-pink flowers that have bearded three-lobed lower lips splashed with white. Seems quite happy in full sun or part shade, and prefers reasonably free-draining soils. Forms a bushy plant to 50cm high which repeat flowers from spring to autumn if kept dead-headed. 9cm pot.
