(Buchanan’s sage). A half hardy perennial with upright stems to 45cm and lovely glossy dark green leaves. Very attractive 5cm long dark magenta pink flowers with noticeable hairs. Will bloom frequently in warm climates, with most flowers appearing in summer and autumn. Does well in containers, or in humus-rich soil in the garden. Prefers light afternoon shade. 1 litre pot.
