This is an exciting species with lovely basal foliage covered in silver hairs, and upright branched spikes carrying indigo to violet-purple flowers (they tend to deepen to mauve as they age). A beautiful and sought after plant to add to your collection. Hardy biennial. Prefers an open sunny spot with good drainage. Flowering height 80-120cm x 40cm wide.
