(Nodding sage). An elegant species, rarely available. Basal clumps of attractive, dark green leaves with toothed edges. Flower stems are tall and graceful, branched towards the top, and the flower spikes are held in drooping bunches at the ends, each covered with small blue-purple flowers. The effect is beautiful, especially when the stems sway in the wind. Looks great with grasses or amongst other more shrubby perennials to provide support for the long stems. Prefers full sun and good drainage. Height at flowering 90-120cm x 30-40cm wide. 9cm pot.
