Salvia microphylla 'San Carlos Festival'
The name of this fantastic little shrub is absolutely spot-on! One of my favourites, I have been growing this for many years now and it always does well. A compact shrubby perennial, growing wider than it is tall, with greyish-green scented leaves and masses of hot pink flowers, with flared lower lips. Plants are bushy rather than leggy, and flower for at least 7 months of the year. Prune by ½ every now and then to keep in shape. Full sun to part shade. 60cm x 90cm. 1 litre pot.
