A rarely offered hardy perennial Salvia which is dormant in winter, re-shooting in spring. Forms a clump of soft, hairy leaves above which rise branched stems of large, tubular, deep rosy-purple flowers in summer. Needs a cooler position in dappled shade, mulch with compost or similar in the summer to protect from drying out. 50-70cm H x 30-50cm W. 12cm pot.
