A new, slightly more compact introduction which is reputed to have improved branching and be long flowering. A hardy deciduous perennial with long, upright silvery-white stems clothed in jagged silvery leaves, all of which are highly fragrant when touched. From mid summer onwards the long flower spikes appear, each one covered in many small bright lavender-blue flowers. A slow growing plant, and one that is best tip-pruned for the first year to encourage bushy growth at the base. Prune by 1/3 to 1/2 once established to maintain a good shape. Extremely drought tolerant once established, enjoying hot areas with good drainage in full sun. Loved by bees and butterflies. Mature flowering size 70-90cm high x 40cm wide. 9cm pot.
