Platycodon grandiflorus 'Alba'
(Balloon flower) Taller variety with upright stems, occasionally flopping, clothed in green leaves, and plenty of large, pure white flowers, opening from balloon-like buds. Dies back to an underground tuber in winter, so pays to mark the spot. Comes away again in spring. These are 2nd year plants in 1 litre pots with excellent root systems. They are coming away above ground now and beginning to shoot upwards, so will provide plenty of flowers if they go in the ground now. Full sun to dappled shade. 40-60cm x 30cm. 1 litre pot.
