A rare beauty from the Canary Islands, this shrubby perennial foxglove relative bears dense, 30cm spikes of tubular, brownish-orange flowers, each 3cm long, in summer. The attractive leaves are lance-shaped, deep green, up to 15cm long, and extend up the deep red stems to the base of the flower spike. Will grow in areas with light frosts, prefers a cooler area of the garden with a part day of shade. Height to 1.5m, spread 1m. 12 cm pot.
