(Oriental poppy) Stunning fully hardy perennial poppy that bears huge satiny, crepe-paper like pale pink flowers, each petal bearing a contrasting dark purple or black blotch at its base. All set off nicely by a ring of deep purple stamens in the centre. Oriental poppies usually become dormant in late summer/autumn, so don’t be alarmed if this happens, as they will re-shoot and form low clumps of coarse, hairy green leaves prior to flowering. 70-90cm x 40cm. 9cm pot.
