(Helen of Troy foxglove). This is a striking perennial foxglove, grown from seed from a new source, and judging by the linear foliage closely aligned to the species Digitalis lanata and D. lamarckii. Clumps of long narrow, glossy green leaves with upright spikes from early summer on into late summer, studded with warm golden-honey-brown intricately veined flowers, each one bearing a flared white lip. Ideal for average to dry conditions and does well in partly shady areas near trees, or full sun in cooler regions. Native to Turkey, resents sitting in wet soils, especially in winter. 60-75cm x 30cm. 9cm pot. (Photo courtesy of Jelitto, thank you)
