A fantastic garden plant that makes a statement, and one which I find useful for both foliage and flowers over a long period. Clumps of long-pointed heart-shaped, deep burgundy leaves appear in spring, each one lightly marked with a central silver-grey v-shape, reminiscent of a dragon’s tongue I guess. Small panicles of white flowers appear from late summer into autumn, creating a nice foil for bright coloured companions. Foliage colour is best in full sun. Height 60-80cm, spread around 60cm, this is a clump forming Persicaria - does not run. 9cm pot.
