A fabulous little plant which forms a low clump of narrow grass-like foliage and then sends up many vertical stems 40-50cm high, each one topped with a cluster of small, bright rosy-carmine-red flowers with deep red bracts. Very striking either on its own or used as pops of colour amongst other small perennials. Does best in full sun in average garden soil and dislikes being overcrowded by enthusiastic neighbours. Ideal for larger rockeries and gravel gardens. 50cm x 30cm. 9cm pot. (Photo shows it growing with the annual Omphalodes linifolia)
