(Elecampane). A tough and hardy herbaceous perennial herb which forms slowly spreading clumps of large, roughly hairy, grey-green leaves. In summer it produces bright yellow flowers 5-7cm across, with many very narrow ray florets surrounding a central yellow disc. Great for using in natural plantings, will cope with most soil types, full sun or part shade. H 90-120cm in flower, eventual spread 60-90cm. 9cm pot.
