Echinacea tennesseensis 'Rocky Top' - 9cm pot
A slower-growing but long-lived species like E. pallida but with a shorter, sturdier more clumping habit ideal for the front of the garden. Narrow foliage and very dainty and pretty slightly cup-shaped pink flowers in summer, which face up and out. Just like sunflowers these beauties follow the sun, so they all turn their heads the same way (this is called heliotropism). Takes a little bit longer to establish than the usual coneflower E. purpurea but worth the wait. Full sun to part shade, dryish soils, height at maturity to around 50cm when in flower. 9cm pot.
