Helianthus 'Lemon Queen'
(Perennial Sunflower). An exceptional garden performer perfect for the back of the border and loved by the butterflies and bees. Tall leafy plants topped with gorgeous bright lemon-yellow mini sunflowers from late summer until autumn. Pinching the flower stems out as they head skywards can help to keep the height lower. Stake in very windy areas (I never stake mine and it copes admirably). Does best in heavier soils and full sun. Divide in spring. 1.2 to 1.8m high at flowering x 70-90cm wide, winter dormant. 1 litre pot.
