Soft, furry grey leaves with serrated edges and tall, very lengthy spikes packed mauve flowers. A perennial from the Mediterranean, this Nepeta produces a tuber similar to a Dahlia in order to survive drought. My plants I put in last year are now huge, with multiple spikes spreading across plants about 70cm wide. They love the limestone chip on the edge of the driveway! Dormant in winter and during prolonged drought. Full sun. Flowering height 60-120cm x 30-60cm wide. 9cm pot.
