This is a lovely perennial which is quite unassuming, sitting in the garden with its attractive, finely-divided green foliage reminiscent of a fern. Then one day multiple flower stems appear and suddenly the plant covers itself in clusters of elegant soft butter-yellow trumpets, each one blushed with dusky red on the outside. Hardy perennial but reasonably short-lived so allow to self sow a little. Flowers in mid spring to early summer but can take a year to reach flowering size sometimes. Half sun, regular water in very hot areas. 40-50cm flowering height x 30-40cm spread. 9cm pot.
