A vigorous and impressive hardy perennial which forms low clumps of fern-like dark green leaves. In summer the tall dark purple flower stems appear, smothered in a cloud of tiny pink flowers creating a feathery effect. Flowering continues until autumn, when the stems can be cut back. Winter dormant in very cold areas. Divide every few years. Prefers a sunny position, not too fertile. Flowering size 1.5-1.8m H x 60-80cm W. 1 litre pot.
