(California buckwheat) An unusual bushy perennial with small, narrow grey-green leaves and an endless succession of gorgeous powder-puff-like creamy-pink flowerheads which age to russet-pink as they dry. Ideal for poor soils or hot dry areas, only needs watering to establish, but will grow in any type of soil really as long as it gets at least half a day of sun. Pollinator friendly and flowers over a very long period from spring right through summer into autumn for me, the flowers changing colour and adding interest as they age. Mature height and width 60-90cm. 9cm pot.
