Echinacea simulata - 9cm pot
(syn. E. pallida var. simulata). Photo courtesy fo Jelitto, thanks! Very similar to the type E. pallida but an overall slightly bigger plant with larger narrow-petalled flowers in a lovely shade of pink, and yellow pollen instead of the usual white. These are tough, hardy plants which are long lived and have good drought tolerance once established. Winter dormant – dies down completely to a woody rootstock. Full sun, good drainage. 70-90cm tall in flower and 30cm wide. Younger plants sown last summer, some may flower this summer. 9cm pot.
