A gorgeous plant, commonly known as riverside windflower. A completely winter-dormant and hardy perennial, in spring it reliably comes up every year with lovely clumps of dark green leaves, followed in early summer by stiff, spangly stems of stunning pure white flowers, each with a contrasting circle of dusky violet-blue anthers. The backs of the petals are dusted with the same lovely shade of blue for added effect. I also like the spiky seedheads which follow later in the summer. Flowering size 50-60cm x 30cm. Prefers dappled shade and reasonable soil, such as a woodland area. These are smaller plants in 9cm pots, which will bulk up nicely if planted soon, providing flowers for you next summer.
