A tough evergreen species from South Africa, which forms a highly attractive, dense shrub covered in smallish grey-green leaves, with wavy edges. It is a fantastic performer in all sorts of soils - handles dry, tough spots where little else will grow, even clay banks, so if you've got difficult soil I can recommend trying this one. In spring or early summer large rusty-brown flowers emerge from the attractive bracts which stay on the plant long after the flowers drop and turn from lime green to a rusty brown colour. Slow growing but will eventually reach a height and width of around 1 metre. Full sun is best but will handle late afternoon shade in a dry spot. 1 litre pot.
