Scabiosa atropurpurea 'Summer Fruits'
Gorgeous, frothy clumps of green leaves topped with a never-ending succession of pincushion flowers in warm summer berry colours - these plants came from a seed mixture of raspberry shades, light to dark pinky-reds. Full sun to part shade and average soil. 60-70cm high at flowering, can spread to 40-50cm wide. I can’t get enough of this particular species (S. atropurpurea) as they are really proving themselves in the garden and are ideal as cut flowers as they have long, very strong stems. Butterflies absolutely love them too. 9cm pot.
