Mediterranean sage; African sage. A hardy biennial plant forming an attractive clump of large leaves covered in silver hairs, similar to S. argentea but with slightly more jagged edges to the leaves. In it's 2nd year a flower spike of masses of pure white flowers appears like a giant candelabra and makes quite a feature. Full sun and free-draining soils, dislikes winter wet. Can self-sow. Grown for foliage as a clump it reaches 50-60cm, the flower spike reaches up to 1m high. 1 litre pot.
