(Heliopsis helianthoides var. scabra). False Sunflower. These seed-grown hardy perennials form clumps of upright stems carrying large, double or semi-double flowers in shades of lemon to orange-yellow. The 5-7cm flowers are held on sturdy stems and make excellent cutflowers, lasting well in a vase. Frost hardy and winter dormant. Blooms over a long period in summer, and not particularly fussy over soil conditions, but prefers a reasonably sunny spot. 100-120cm x 75cm.
