Symphyotrichum (Aster) ericoides 'White Heather'
(Heath Aster). I really loved this variety last year for it's late-season show of masses of tiny white, yellow-centred flowers that reminded me of miniature poached eggs, the kind that fairies would eat...or a lawn full of daisies. A sturdy mid-height variety that forms a small unassuming clump then sends up a mass of stiffly branched flower stems, ideal for growing amongst other late-summer flowering perennials or blue Asters for contrast. Full sun to part shade. Flowering height to around 80cm. 9cm pot.
