Fuchsia 'Lincoln Bronze' (F. excorticata x F. procumbens) - 1 litre pot
A stunning NZ-bred hybrid which I adore for its foliage. In colder regions it is deciduous but despite the hard frosts here this year it has held its leaves for me all winter, perhaps because it is in a more sheltered spot up near the bushline. The plant has a low, mounding, slightly spreading habit, with gorgeous bronzed olive green leaves with slightly wavy edges. I have never seen mine flower so no idea if it does. Prefers light shade and a soil with added compost or leaf mould. So far my plant has achieved a maximum height of 30cm and has spread to around 70cm wide. 1 litre pot. (The photograph shows it growing around a clump of Tricyrtis macrantha and Digitalis lanata 'Cafe Creme').
