Symphyotrichum (Aster) pyrenaeus 'Lutetia'
This compact, bushy variety really impressed me last summer with the length of flowering time, being much longer than the majority of other Asters. Plants form a small rounded clump and then masses of lilac-pink daisy-like flowers on short stems. The numerous petals are very narrow, giving an elegant look to the flower. Ideal for a sunny spot at the front of the garden, or you could try it in containers. Flowering height around 30cm, 30-40cm wide. Hardy perennial, prefers a sunny spot or a half day of sun in very hot areas. 9cm pot.
