Astrantia major rubra
At long last I have some of these for sale...gorgeous umbels of deep plum-pink flowers with centres that remind me of pin cushions. Makes a wonderful cutflower, and an ideal plant for part shade, or full sun with good moisture-retentive soils. These are notoriously difficult to grow from seed, and slow to bulk-up initially, but once they are established they will happily self-sow for many lucky gardeners! Hardy winter-dormant perennial. Flowering size 40-50cm high and wide. 1 litre pot.
